Guardian Defensive Solutions is dedicated to offering professional training on every level, whether it is in the classroom or on the range. We strive to serve our students with the utmost respect, and patience throughout their Guardian Defensive Solutions experience. We believe that everyone must start somewhere and that education is an experience without conclusion.

Private lessons are offered Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Lessons last approximately one hour and cost $60. Group rates are available so, be sure to tell your friends. As far as the material we cover, that depends on your goals. We tailor these lessons in order to fit your needs. We are equipped to facilitate the first time shooter through the advanced tactical operator.

All of the courses offered are at Hot Wells Shooting Range located between Barker-Cypress and Skinner Road off of Hwy 290. Once arriving at the range, please report to the green range house, and you will be pointed in right direction for your specific class.

It seems that in recent times the “black gun” has grown exponentially in popularity, but few owners ever learn to operate them to their full potential. In this course you will learn to use your combat rifle beyond its basic operation; whether it is an AR, AK, FN, AUG, or other variation. Skill sets to be acquired will include stance, accuracy, speed, and mobility. By the end of this course you will be manipulating your rifle through intense scenario based drills, engaging multiple targets with speed and precision.

Course Length: 3 hours (starts at 9:00 a.m.)

Prerequisite: Must have completed Tactical Pistol Phase I, II, and III

Gear: Rifle (must be sighted in at 25 yards prior to class), 2 mags, 200 rounds, sling, eye/ear protection, water

Intro to Defense Pistol

This class is a low intensity introduction to the basics of defense pistol operation; specifically designed for shooters who want to continue their training in a safe, professional, but calm environment. We will cover the mechanical operation of your weapon, stance, hand position, aiming process, and proper trigger press technique. By the end of this 2 hour course you will split my business card in half!!

Prerequisites: None (First-time shooters welcome)

Course Length: 4 hours (starts at 6:30 p.m.)

Gear: Pistol, eye/ear protection, 1 magazine, 100 rounds of ammo.

Concealed Handgun License Class

This course is required to obtain your Texas Concealed Handgun License. Every class includes fingerprints, photos, notaries and range fees.

Renewals: course will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Price: $75.

Equipment needed: Pistol, 50 rounds ammunition (no reloads), eye protection, ear protection, closed toe shoes, black ink pen, and driver’s license.

Please understand that the Texas CHL course does not include instruction on how to operate your weapon. You are expected to be proficient prior to attending class. If you are unsure of your shooting abilities, you may consider taking a private lesson prior to attending class.

Without a firm foundation you will never become a solid shooter. This course is all about the basics. You'll learn how your weapon functions, properly positioning your hands when shooting, stance, aiming process, speed, and much more. Low Light Shooting Course

According to NVCS, National Crime Victimization Survey, approximately two-thirds (63.2 percent) of violent crimes, including rapes/sexual assaults, occur at night. Yet our normal training environment does not reflect this.
